All very quiet on this one at the moment. How's the planning coming along?

Not long to go now and I'm already getting excited. Looking forward to some all night chimney music :)

I don't think honestly 70000 will be ready in time to attend the Gala. However it does look like a tasty line up of engines, plus to go with the all night running too.

According to the SVR Forum, the Working Timetable was sent to the printers, and has returned to the SVR head office.

The WTT woulden't be much use until the loco line up is finalised, sure you'd know the workings, but would help to know what's on them first.

I believe that the working timetables have left one of the locos as TBA and have already been printed and are back at the SVR, according to the SVR Forum

    Railway Herald quotes a Bullied.
There again it also says that 30120 has worked in preservation at MHR and Bluebell.

Is it likely to be 34007 'Wadebridge'?

She is due to attend the NYMR gala shortly after the SVR's. Surely it makes sense for her to stop on the way during her trip from the south to the north?

No I do not currently volunteer
    It actually quotes 34070.
The MHR is certainly correct, don't know about the Bluebell. 30120 was stored there for a while but I can't remember it working there.
Didn't it work on the Swanage Railway for a while, or is my memory playing tricks?

I'm sure the SVR will make an appropriate announcement about the identity of the extra guest when they are ready.

With regards (30)120, she did indeed work at Swanage for a while coming from the MHR to work out her boiler ticket. I had several turns on her and feel privileged to have had that experience. She was getting rather 'tired' and steamings were limited by the NRM but we were able to run both 120 and 30053 together on a couple of occasions so the forthcoming Bodmin Gala will not be the first time these two grand old girls have worked together in preservation. Swanage were unable to afford to overhaul 120, the cylinder block issues were known about then, and we were also unable to provide permanent covered accommodation for her so the NRM arranged for her to go to the Bluebell. I believe part of the deal with the NRM (I could be wrong after all these years) was for Swanage to pay for a museum standard repaint (still Maunsell olive green) upon transfer to the Bluebell. Certainly 120 didn't work at the Bluebell after transfer from Swanage.

Very tasty line up of motive power for this. Will have to order a WTT asap me thinks. Brings back fond memories of seeing 34072 visit the Valley for a gala back in the early 90s. Would Manston be the first unrebuilt Bulleid to visit since then?
