SVR "Members & Shareholders" Weekend: April 20th and 21st.

Everyone welcome at this event. Frequent all-steam service with (subject to confirmation tomorrow) 7812, 1501, 2857, 5164 and 34053, plus 1450 and Autocoach between Bewdley and Kidderminster. Supporting groups stands and sales coaches open along the line. At Kidderminster the carriage works and signal box open for visits. At Bewdley the North signal box will be open for visits, and the yard where various restoration projects are located. Bridgnorth works and signal box will be open for visits, and new-build 82045 available for inspection.
On both days there will be presentations at the Engine House at Highley at 12 noon, 1-30 and 3-00 pm to report and review progress with the share issue and associated projects such as the Bridgnorth redevelopment.

Always an interesting event to see "behind the scenes". Even the weather looks as though it is going to play ball.

Here's the loco allocations for the weekend: ( subject to the usual caveats of course!)

Saturday: Set CN1 11-10 ex-Bridgnorth: 2857. Set CS1 09-55 ex Kidderminster: 1501. Set CS2 10-35 ex KDR 34053. Set CS3 11-15 ex-KDR: 7812. Set CS4 (Diner) 12-00 ex KDR 5164.
Sunday, times are the same. CN1 2857. CS1 34053. CS2 7812. CS3 1501. CS4 5164.

First Auto with 1450 is 09-20 ex-KDR to Highley, returns to KDR at 11.01. For rest of day 1450 runs to Bewdley, at 11-30, 1-10, 2-40, ex-KDR. Final run ex-KDR at 4-20, to Arley. Arrives back at KDR at 6-03pm.

Good to see 7812 back after Winter repairs.

 

Excellent first day for this event, well-filled trains, Springtime starting to arrive in the Valley, and everyone appeared to be enjoying the outing. Motive power as noted above.

Just the one image processed so far from an excellent day at SVR, 1450 and W238 alongside the Severn between Highley and Arley. Trains looked busy, and 1450 put in some spirited performances.
