    The Bridgnorth Station website reports that the engineering work at Hampton Loade, due to start immediately after the festive season services finish on January 3rd, is not expected to be complete until early March, and therefore the February half-term service and the January and February weekend services, will be Kidderminster to Highley only.
    Fares for the Kidderminster -Highley journey will now include admission to the Engine House.

    Your last chance to travel the full line until March will be on the festive season services from December 26th to January 3rd inclusive.

    Just to point out all full line returns (which act as rovers on normal days) in 2010 include admission to the Engine House.

    Thats right, and a sensible move to my mind. It removes what was to me an "obstacle" to stopping off at the Engine House for some food, where previously you had to pay to get through the door just to go upstairs and buy food and a drink.

    Frankly unless you are going to Bridgnorth to wander across the bridge into the town, I consider Highley a more attractive destination than Bridgnorth at present. Lets hope the "development plan" for the Bridgnorth station site comes up with something imaginative to change that perception.

    This winter Kidderminster-Highley service includes a regular DMU diagram, with the DMU on the 10-25 departure from Kidderminster, and the first steam departure being at 11-30.
