SVR Open House Weekend April 8th & 9th

Attractions include:

• Intensive train service, featuring Pannier Tank No. 7714 on local services and visiting British Railways 9F No. 92214 on full line services.
• Class 50s will be working the diesel services on both days: No. 50031 on Saturday and No. 50049 on Sunday.
• Bridgnorth Locomotive Works and Bewdley Yard, as well as Bridgnorth, Bewdley North and Kidderminster Signalboxes will be open for visits.
• Up to 30 model railway layouts on display in Kidderminster Diesel Depot and The Engine House, Highley.
• Kidderminster Diesel Depot open for visits, with Class 50 No. 50035 on display on the turntable.
• Visiting South African Railway's 15F 'Roxane' operating on The Coalyard Miniature Railway at Kidderminster (additional charge applies).
• Paddock Railway at Hampton Loade in steam on Sunday.
• On-train Cream Tea Service
• Class 50 Footplate Experiences at Kidderminster Station.
• All-new model shop at The Engine House, Highley, with loads of great deals on our range of Bachmann products.

 

Whilst it's great to be able to make signal box visits, it's always the same three. I appreciate that visits to Bewdley South would be difficult, but Arley, Highley and Hampton Loade boxes are accessible from public areas. It would be nice to be able to visit these as well.
