SVR Santa Specials "turn up and go" 4/5 December only

    Whilst SVR Santa Steam Specials are a pre-booked service, a notice is posted on http://www.svr.co.uk/News.aspx:

    “We do have seats available for 'turn up and go' visitors this weekend. Check back here after 3-00pm today. Arrive at least 30 minutes before these departure times and purchase your tickets at our Booking Office at Kidderminster station. 'Turn up and go' seats are offered on a first come, first served basis”.

    At 14:00 on Friday 3 December the main website showed 6 of the first weekend’s 22 trains fully booked, with a further 6 with only limited availability. Space was mainly on trains later in the day.

    Incidentally, the SVRA forum reported this week that more trains are full than the same point last year. Notwithstanding, there are also a few trains on subsequent weekends with seats available. The website has a handy quick guide if you're interested.

    December 18/19 sold out. Only tains now available are the last two Santas on 24th and four Heralds (Santa on the train) in the following week, all of which are all showing as limited availability. Remainder are all sold.
