Initial WTT is largely complete, and will now go to the next meeting for approval.

Looks set to be a pretty exciting event, lots going on!

Very popular. Also it’s worked out well getting it here with other events round the country. Fits in to the planned WTT nicely. So really sound choice all round.

Apart from Bahamas, will there be any more guest locos announced?

I don't mind another dose of Bahamas! The "home fleet" is pretty awesome and is worth the trip alone!

All of said home fleet should get a run out too. We’ve started to adopt the idea of a “rolling spare” so nothing ever misses an event if we can manage it. Even if only for one day we try to get a loco out, so in theory those with tickets for all 4 days see everything run.

The below is taken from the website, but the last line should read 10 Coach special, not 11. I’m very much looking forward to Double Headed Manors

One of the highlights of our 60th anniversary year is set to be the Spring Steam Gala. The date is set for Friday 18 to Monday 21 April 2025 and we’re looking forward to welcoming up to four visiting locomotives.

We’ll be welcoming 7802 ‘Bradley Manor’ back into service, to star alongside 7812 ‘Erlestoke Manor’, and we hope to have GWR 1450 fully painted for the event.

    The stars of the show:
    • LMS Jubilee No 45596 ‘Bahamas’ – with thanks to the Bahamas Locomotive Society
    • LMS Mogul, 13268
    • GWR Autotank, 1450
    • GWR Hall, 4930 ‘Hagley Hall’
    • GWR Pannier Tank, 7714
    • GWR Manor, 7802 ‘Bradley Manor’
    • GWR Manor, 7812 ‘Erlestoke Manor’
    • BR Standard, 75069
    • BR Class 108 DMU
    Attractions:
    • Double-headers, including a full-line service with both 7802 ‘Bradley Manor’ and 7812 ‘Erlestoke Manor’ on Monday 21 April.
    • Goods trains with home-fleet and visiting locomotives on each day.
    • Local services, including trains stopping at Eardington Station.
    • Early morning and late evening services.
    • 11-carriage special on Monday 21 April from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster.

possibly but how about giving the railway the space to work out what the art of the possible is rather than tossing a grenade of conjecture into the mix

Well that will enable half term service to be run along with the DMU / steam heat diesel.
Which end did 7802 get delivered to??

That's unfortunate, although guessing they wanted it close to Bridgnorth in case of any adjustments needed.

I fail to see how a comment that the " gala may be very different " can be in any way , shape or form be construed as "tossing a grenade". This is a discussion forum, are you suggesting that the officers and directors of the SVR hang on every pearl of wisdom that appears? They would be unwise.
