Swanage Railway Grand Steam Gala 6-8 Sept 2013

    Just a mention for diaries that the Swanage Railway's annual Grand Steam Gala will be held on Friday 6th to Sunday 8th September. There will be the usual intensive service involving all the Railway's home fleet of locos (subject to availability of course) plus, hopefully, a visiting loco.
    Alongside the Grand Steam Gala, there will be a three-day Classic Vehicle Rally with lots of exhibits, stalls and refreshments next to Harman's Cross station. This is organised by the Poole and Bournemouth Preservation Club. Generally PBPC attract a good selection of Vintage motor cycles; Vintage & classic cars as well as a range of Commercial vehicles, Tractors, Stationary engines and varied Stalls. The rally is open between 0900 and 1700 each day. Normally, they organise a Licenced Bar with catering plus Live Entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights.
    Swanage Railway's special Gala tickets include admission to the Rally but if you're not travelling by train then admission to the rally only is £4.00 with Children free.
