    That would seem odd, as surely the idea of a webcam is that the user gets a quick look at what's going on. Registering and logging in just seems like a way of extracting data from the user and annoying them by making it so slow to get a look at the subject!

    I would tend to agree with you on this, but it is also a good way to keep track of how many people are watching the web cams, not just the number of viewings. It also means folk have a more genuine interest in the subject than just a casual glance. Whilst interested in the subject matter myself, as a casual viewer, I don't think I'll bother with this one.
