    Bluh aiming to unlock canals

SWINDON will return to being a canal town under a plan being pursued by council leader Roderick Bluh.

Coun Bluh wants the council to investigate the feasibility of restoring the canal that used to pass through the centre of the town.

Restored canal could provide major boost

THE mother of all water features has taken a step forward with the council agreeing to investigate putting a canal through the centre of Swindon.

The council last night agreed to undertake a feasibility study to look in to digging up the old canal route through Swindon and connecting it to surrounding waterways.
