Excellent piece on tonights edition of ITV "Countrytracks" which started with the Causey Arch and then the Tanfield Railway.
Only negative was the TV reporter twice referring to the Causey Arch as the "Causeway Arch", but hey, no-one is perfect.

Great publicity for Tanfield. Included interview with volunteer driver and founder member, and shots of nice black 0-6-0 tank on iron ore hoppers.

Fantastic effort by the lads at Tanfield. Great to see an industrial railway with coal trains getting prime time coverage!

Thanks for the comments everyone. I was behind the camera all day as R.O. making sure that the crew got what they needed.

Twizell looked and sounded well and if the response on our Facebook page is anything to go by at least a few people have been introduced to Tanfield as a direct result of the programme.

It does help having an absolutely unrivalled history for things like this.

Oh and by the way, they are coal hoppers (all 21T of various almost entirely NCB backgrounds).
