    Ok Guys
I'm having a very difficult time trying to come up with a comprehensive listing of wagons on the line. I have 50 as listed there but I know there are more, as well as my own records being very sketchy indeed. I've tried all other avenues of investigation and can't find any reference to these via the Tanfield website or other sources. I was hoping to visit recently but finances meant I had to cancel a trip to the North East.
There are far too many queries to list on here. If someone connected to the C&W could possibly help please PM me your email address and I'll send you an attachment of what I have as being there.

    Right then.

An up to date list simply doesn't exist at the moment. I know what every standard gauge waggon on site is but haven't done the list yet. Somebody has supplied me with a list which has been compiled by an outside party which is literally full of errors which I endeavour to improve on shortly but it's had to wait whilst the gala got out of the way.

What exactly are you looking for? Are you simply after a list of numbers (of absolutely no use whatsoever in my oppinnion as it's not as if you're dealing with BR waggons here and some of them never had any number at all!) which you can just tick off and say you've seen them all or are you after a genuine historical record of what waggons are on site, where they came from, and what they are?

I can probably provide some assistance but would have to ask for patience as I'm a regular fireman, crossing keeper, C&W volunteer, director and operations superintendent so making time for extra work can be tricky.

    Ok P&JR1854
Thanks for replying. Firstly i'm not just after a list of numbers although this does help to identify items where there are many wagons at a particular site. I appreciate that some early wagons may have had no previous I/d's but even most industrial origin stock had an internal numbering system. As well as the project I'm developing, as noted at the bottom of my posts, I'm also updating the VCT Wagon Survey. The Tanfield is the 'only' site where I have many errors which is why I made my original post here, as I can't find any other source of reference.
If you could PM me an email address I can attach a document of the wagons I have listed at the Tanfield. I appreciate you are a busy man so any help over any period of time will be gratefully received.
    Steve
