Well it looked in one piece when I saw it in the NRM in December!

Not sure why the 5305LA website isn't being updated at present but when I asked Tom about 45305 & 70013 a couple of weeks ago, he seemed happy enough with the pair. D6535 & 777 have been (probably still are) receiving attention at Loughborough and D123 remains in regular GCR service.

I noticed 70013 was running with the NRM's mk 1 support coach on the last couple of trips, and not either of the 5305LA mk 2s.

It was probably a typo ,which should have read 'part of it has been scraped' (by a traffic light)

Hi Guys had alook at the various bits, but it is not the loco i was looking for I am getting a bit confused as the loco in question is the Crab at Binbrooke, just found out that there appears to be two groups with the same name or is this down to a miss understanding?

Sounds like you've been given duff, or at least confused, information. 5305LA owns black 5 (4)5305 and is custodian of 2 NRM locos: (30)777 and 70013 (and by the sound of it, a couple of diesels, too). AFAIK, the Crab at Binbrook has been owned by 1 or 2 private individuals since it left Barry. I suppose some members of 5305LA might be helping/advising the Crab's owners, but I'm not aware of any formal relationship. There is a thread all about the Crab in this forum - search for Crab Binbrook and see what you can find.

I seem to remember that the Crab and a 2nd Black Five moved from Barry to Hull Dairycoats Depot when the 5305LA were based there, so perhaps that is the original source of the confusion.

Unless things have changed, 45305 is owned by the Draper family and is in the custody of HLPG, the HLPG (or 5305LA) don't own it.

During a recent visit to Haworth I saw 5305 in the shed there, does anyone if she's likely to be working service trains at the KWVR or mainline tours anytime soon ?

    thanks
