The Armada.. 68003 and 68019.. 22/10/16

    Belmond and UK Railtours ran the Armada from Stevenage to Plymouth and return on the 22nd of October 2016. Locomotives used were supplied by Direct Rail Services and were 68003 Astute and 68019 Brutus.
    The train is seen at Taunton, firstly arriving and departing after a crew change and the going through non-stop with the return.

    I thought that, but looking back at the video Im not sure if its the last coach or the loco but still sounded bad

    Good video, I have yet to see one of these beasts. When I saw the thread header I thought it was going to be a pair of J94's bashing up inclines in Derbyshire!! It's an age related thing. :oops::D

    Im just glad that they are used on passenger trains, most new locos have been built for freight... and I think they sound ok,modern engines are usually so quiet its nice to hear one!!
