For people to continue the discussion about this trip from the RTC day trip thread. I am on this, only my second mainline trip of the year - should be a good one! E-ticket has arrived & times available at http://www.uksteam.info/tours/t13/t1102b.htm.

Anyone know when Ollie & stock arrives at the SVR?

Prob be an STP path and go in sometime this week, as you say, nothing showing for a WCRC move on Friday at Stourbridge or Worcester currently.

If it wasn't for the great interest in and around the loco shed at Sheffield Park, I'd have said 30 minutes there was way too long.............. LOL!

I must admit 30 mins for the passengers to look around the loco shed, shop and new museum is gonna be a challenge an a half. lol

Look on the bright side - the passengers can snooze through the boring West Midlands in the early morning and late evening darkness so they are fully awake to take in the glorious autumn colours in the Sussex afternoon!

If the train arrvies at Platform 2, I would advise a visit to the museum first since getting off the train and crossing the footbridge could take 10 minutes for the whole train ( If the train is 11 coaches and dining is at the front, 2 of the 6 coaches on the platform will be the Kitchen car and the support coach).

Tom - the train starts in leafy Shropshire and travels through Worcestershire before it reaches the dynamic multicultural West Midlands:p

I hear for drinks your using a mainline water tanker to save time, at full pressure too.

It's an edict from the Preservation Standards Committee - recreating dining arrangements in the Victorian era before corridor coaches and restaurant cars...

Rtc emailed tickets today looks like a genuine steam trip any complaints about a steam loco hanging off the end of the train all day? Does the black 5 push or does it bank the train out of Victoria?
