Having photographed the (later than scheduled) 12:02pm arrival of British Airways' first 787 Dreamliner at nearby Heathrow Airport, I dashed by car in the direction of Hounslow station where Tornado was due to pass at 12:21pm. Realising I would be too late for my original plan, I looked for anything that looked like it might be a railway line, stopped the car and ran up to the fence - with no real idea of where I was. 60 seconds later Tornado and co appeared around a corner. Not a perfect shot as I was shooting through a thick wire mesh fence but happy to get anything in the circumstances! Looking at the map now, I see I may have stumbled across Feltham Junction.

    Evening All,

I went to Fleet to see Tornado this afternoon and have put a three shots on Flickr. This is the first one and, as usual, clicking on it will enlarge it and take you to the others :

Two minutes late through a very wet Hounslow but quite a show in the June gloom. Photos later.

Shining in the June gloom. Hounslow 8:25pm. Note the vintage trackside lamp to the right:

Ran pretty much to time yesterday. Went to Hackney Wick where there is a nice hill for Down trains so got a great sound from Tornado.

Had to be fleet of foot last night. I realised that the Down Weybridge Metro would block my shot of Tornado so I ran over to the Up Platform just in time. Tornado wa really going well and I was right by a track-joint and got a clickety-clack. Witnessed an unpleasant incident with a pair of stupid kids.

    Here are my films.
