Only 18 standard seats left on this tour. Anyone else booked yet ? Steam up through the Hope Valley and Delamere Forrest should be good. Hope there's a few showers before the date !

No tickets yet, still early I guess, timings may be late as other tours have experienced recently.
Anyone else booked on it ?

Apparently they have installed a new computer system or software or both and are having lots of trouble with it,

Tickets arrived today early departure from Cleethorpes 6.30am ! Loco change at Doncaster on the return. A very long day for me with the drive to Cleethorpes. Looking forward to it now. Looks like load 10 with support.

UKSteam & TRUST has it as the loco change at Sheffield on the return, along with a move from Sheffield to Bury for 44871 after the swap, as per the original itinerary. Does anyone know if 44871 will be travelling from Battersby boiler or tender first? If she's boiler first, then a further move will be required to turn her on the Ulceby/Brocklesby triangle.

Letter from RTC with tickets says loco change at Doncaster so we will have to see, I know Steam info says change at Sheffield.

Thanks for that. Will definitely need to be turned on the triangle, then. That'll turn a few heads at Grimsby Town during the evening peak!

44871 is now safely sat at Barnetby sidings for the night (along with WCRC Class 47's 47270 & 47826), ready for the trip to Chester tomorrow. Arrived more or less on time, and had a trip to Grimsby & back via Ulceby to turn it round at around 17:00.

    Admin,

I am subscribed to this tour.
I texted an update to the Natpres number at 0811, soon after the train passed Crowle.
I followed the format example in the 'Text Alerts?' thread, post #11 thus:

    6233 Passed Golborne 10.15.

Please let me know if this is the wrong format.

Did you start it with 'natpres t0612b' then the message? because it has not appeared.

No Ralph, as I say I used the format shown above as I had not found an example anywhere else.
As you can only be subscribed to one thread at a time I did not think the tour code would be necessary.
At least now I'll get it right next time!

The reason for the code, is so the system can then send that message out to other people subscribed to that tour.
