I'll be making a decision on seeing it at either Acton Bridge station, Dutton viaduct or Daresbury.

I have decided that Daresbury will be the spot for me on Saturday. Thanks to Ralph for supplying info & map of the location. :)

I shall be out in the morning somewhere near Warrington/Golborne area and possibly in the evening. I am busy midday so wont be up near Shap for this one.

Seemed more or less to time today at Golborne. I have just heard that it topped Shap summit at 44, 15 early into Carlisle, sounds like an excellent run with 6233. Not had a chance to look at the piccys yet. May have something later.

Thanks to Ralph for the updates.

See you there if you turn out Jeff. I haven't heard whether it has left Carnforth yet. Nice evening up here though.

    Neil.

    Edit: Just leaving Carnforth 18.02.

The train was looped at Warrington and was stopped in platform 1 for a couple of minutes so it would probably be a few minutes down by Crewe. I had gone there as steam usually tears through platform 2 at around 70+, should have gone to Golborne...

Nice to meet up with Jeff again as well.

Thanks to the 6233 guys for turning out such a great loco, Neil.

Probably due to the late running Voyager behind; 22 minutes late at Lancaster according to reports but 6233 passed Euxton at 18:35 nearly 10 minutes early.

Having privately hoped that one of Sir Williams pacifics would one day be seen in black livery, I was delighted to see 6233 in the flesh & she didn't disapoint. I think the post war black livery looks fabulous. Caught her climbing Shap & then got a good look at Carlisle.
