A great set Trev. I can't pick a favourite from the Duchess but really liked the second one and the other 'clean' shots. I don't often see stills on here,it seems to be mainly videos.

    Dawlish photos excellent too .

It's 7.15 am (Sunday Oct 2) and I was about to leave home to go to Dawlish, that's 2hrs. 15 minutes BUT,having been caught out before I thought I better do a UKSteam check. It paid off. The Duchess is not available, seemingly due to track problems at Butterly where it's based and it's diesel-hauled throughout. I had everything ready too..sandwich, gear all packed, car tanked up. I'd be darned annoyed if I'd paid to go with a steam loco but it's a chance you take with them. I was going to the spot you took your photos from. What's it like on that bridge below you,at the end of the prom. Also, did you access the rock you were on from there or the top of ,almost the top of Teignmouth hill, the public footpath from the roadway ? Goodness knows how long it will be before we get a fine day like today to go there. It's too far to go on a dull day.

I still haven't caught the Duchess but on Wednesday Princess Elizabeth is coming here to Gloucester and a fine day is forecast.

Hard luck about your trip after the Duchess, sure you will get it one day.

You have got the directions right for where we were stood. Best of luck for Wednesday.

What a great sunny day. Decided to go to Sapperton Bank . It's nice wooded hilly scenery and may well go there for the return leg i. Both in the spot where this video was taken. Not my video though. This is the direction it will come from on the return leg. On the outward journey there's a bend ,a sharp one behind the videoer and that's what I'll get at 1215-ish. It's 9.30 and she's just passed Willesdon,London. Running 2 minutes late.
