Timings are now available for the tour.
    1Z27 outbound: http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U55121/2019/06/16/advanced
    1Z28 return: http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U55122/2019/06/16/advanced

Thankfully the Plan 'A' return timings have been abolished. Although departing from Kingswear at the same time they gave a prolonged stop at Taunton of between 18:27 - 19:45.
The tour would have returned to Temple Meads at 22:10, some 74 mins later than the latest version. http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/P92216/2019/06/16/advanced <BJ>

Never really understood where 'Plan A' came from. The tickets were sent out on the 4th with confirmed times and a 2055 arrival at BTM. Pretty much the normal return Torbay Express via Westbury timings with a 14/15 mins stop at Taunton for water.

34046 replaces 70000 according to IoS/Saphos/whatever they’re called today on Facebook.

This is definitely the advantage of owner/operator/TOC being one and the same.

Only Saphos and West Coast out of Carnforth could do that.

Personally I'm devastated that it is 34046 on Sunday ....... ;)

Personally I'm grateful that we can still enjoy any steam loco on the main line. It is after all over 50 years since the end of BR steam. <BJ>

Given the choice of Braunton or Britannia I would make more effort to see Braunton, which hopefully I will get to see again. Both have been on the DSR before.

Are we going to see Braunton once again? I see that the loco was shown in Railway Herald as on show "with a new coat of paint" but I couldn't see from the photo whether it had regained its correct identity. Has anyone seen it today on the l/e move?

And either should be ok up from Goodrington over Hookhills. By contrast, the DSRs own Standard 4 dropped 15 minutes the other day in the rain as it slipped up the 1 in 60 with a crowded 7 coaches and 245 tons. So let's hope for decent weather for everyone.

Not sure if this will work (if not its in the LE thread) but the pictures of her on the move quoted below show her with a 34046 smokebox plate so assume Braunton is finally back!

I expect, given the weather forecast, that the Class 37 will be at hand. :D The 42XX's are missed without doubt.

It has indeed returned to it's 34046 identity, but the paint job is incomplete - detailing (e.g. lining) is still to be finished.

Loco safely tucked up at Bristol. Smokebox number attached, cabside numbers applied, lining still to do.

Loco looking very smart. Welcome back Braunton. :) <BJ>

I noticed at Bristol yesterday that new fixings had been attached to the nameplate bracket. Perhaps the nameplates will arrive today with the empty stock and then be fitted to the loco. <BJ>
