Pathfinders Going Everywhere Train was the collective name for three railtours..Sabrinas Tea Party,The White Rose Kipper and the Lancs Links...37419 Carl Haviland 1954-2012 and 37604 were the train engines.

The first part of the tour went from Crewe to Ironbridge and return.During this journey all the passengers had a curry!!I managed to get a window for the climb away from Ironbridge.. and 37419 didnt dissapoint!! from 1 min 10 secs to 8 min 36 secs the engine makes a superb sound..

Part 2 of the tour was from Crewe to various places including Glossop,Hadfield,Ilkley, bradford( both stations) and Leeds..

After arriving back at Crewe the stock was serviced and I had time for breakfast!!

Part 3 the Lincs Lancs visited Ormskirk,Preston Docks and Seaforth Docks..

All in all a great day out.. Thanks to Pathfinder and Network Rail and everybody involved in making it a great day and a half out..

Yes it was.. I think this will be a regular train around the same time every year, as long as Pathfinder can find places to go!!

I did look at last years itinerary and have to say I fancied it but then the realisation of what a long day, lack of sleep etc decided maybe not! Do enjoy a good tour but not so keen on when they become an endurance feat. Also ruins the following day.

Its surreal getting off at Bradford Forster Square at 04.32 to take Pictures!!!

Sounding good as well, particularly through Summit Tunnel and up to Ilkley, I was on the overnight and Saturday trips, quite the fun weekend IMO, two thrashing tractors and a worryingly large amount of drink with 4/5 mates in coach A :)

Beer and trains is a rather lovely combo. I'm rather looking forward to the Mid Norfolk publishing what the list is for this years diesel gala. Couple of pints of Jaipur and D306 was rather good fun last year.
