The evening of Friday 4th April will see No: 5043 "Earl of Mount Edgcumbe" venture out onto Network Rail for the first time in 2014. We have completed the planned winter maintenance program and want to test both the loco and the water carrier prior to several lengthy non-stop runs, including 1-Zulu-48 on Saturday 10th May.

We will depart from our own Tyseley Warwick Road station shortly after 5pm, setting off for our other passenger pickup at Coleshill Parkway, before we steam out through Warwickshire and on into the Leicestershire countryside. There will be a brief stop at Leicester to check the loco, before we continue on the Midland main line where we whistle past our friends at Loughborough’s Great Central Railway. We turn back towards home through Castle Donington, Burton-on-Trent and Tamworth. We stop to set down passengers at Coleshill Parkway, arriving back at Tyseley shortly after 9:30pm.

This trip is primarily a test run for 5043 and the water-carrier. Once we depart from Tyseley, the timings are subject to change without notice - we could well arrive back at Tyseley a few minutes early!

Premier Dining : £79.00 (not recommended for Coleshill Parkway passengers - see note)
Table for Two : £15 per table (£7.50 pp) extra
First Class Compartment : £200 (up to 6 persons - non dining)
Standard Class : £39 (non dining)
