The Herd of Wildebeeste ran on the 16th July 2016 promoted by Uk Railtours. The motive power for the trip was very unusual for the West Country, Class 73s in the shape of 73107 Tracy,73128 OVS Bulleid,73962 Dick Mabbett and 73963 Janice.
The 73/1s were on the rear from Basingstoke with 73962 and 73963 powering to Exeter. The JBs worked the train from Exeter to Paignton. The return was hauled entirely by the newish 73/9s.
My videos shows one shot of each of the pairs during the day..73107 and 73128 on the Teign Estuary and the 73/9s at Cockwood on the return.
