SD website says tickets sent out today.

They seem to be bottom of the heap when it comes to getting timings out of NR.

46115 has to be a cert on day 4, as it's due out of London on the Yorkshireman on the 19/9.

I would of thought so. If it wasn't for 46115 needing to be down south, I would of expected the Duchess to bring day 4 back south.

Would save a path ! Maybe the Duchess could come off at Crewe.

On the Bath and Bristol trip last week they were telling us that it would be the Duchess from Euston, and they were offering one-way seats from Euston to either Crewe or Penrith, make you own way back by service train. They were supposed to be phoning those who expressed provisional interest in that this week but I haven't heard from them. No doubt they have had a lot to deal with including the postponement of the Cardiff trip.

I did look at the (presumably then provisional) times on the SD website, and the Penrith arrival was shown as exactly when the last direct departure back to Euston would be leaving, but there would be one later train changing at Lancaster (or several other stops). But I've just looked again and the times are now blank.

Do you think it will really be the Scot on day 3 as well as day 4? I know this has been discussed before but are the Jubes OK for the coast route?

I'm considering a day out on day 3. According to SD it is 0929 from Carnforth back 2147.

That's what my ticket says......plus an unnecessarily long time in Carlisle.

I had failed to find those times on the SD website. 19:40 arrival at Penrith and the last train to get back to Euston that night leaving at 19:49 is too tight. And the times are still not showing on RTT.

'plus an unnecessarily long time in Carlisle.'

Pity they couldn't use the Fellsman slot returning at 1512. Maybe an hour and forty minutes turnaround time is a bit too tight for comfort.

Carnforth is going to be busy on Wednesday, charter from Barrow to Scarborough due in to pick up at 8.32, then has to shunt to D&U G L before heading back through the station for Hellifield at 8.50, and on it's return arrives Carnforth 21.58, into G L again before departing to Barrow at 22.40.
