I visited the Lavender Line at Isfield for the first time today as it was advertised as a steam day. "Lady Lisa", the Cockerill tram loco was doing the honours. I spoke to one of the crew who turned out to be the owner. I asked him what the significance of the number 4014 on the loco was. He said it was a joke and it referred to "Big Boy" 4014 in the USA and the fact "Lady Lisa" is quite small:). Everyone at the railway were very friendly. Although the railway is short in length, I recommend a visit to anyone who hasn't been there. Also the Victoria sponge I had there was very nice as well:). Sorry for creating a new thread but I couldn't find an existing one.
