One of my good friends is after this elusive document for his Uni dissertation. Does anyone have this document or know where to get hold of it? Please PM me if you have any info.

    Many thanks.

If it was formally published the National Library in London should have a copy that he can use for reference as they are supposed to keep a copy of every published title. I guess asking the NUR is too obvious?

Your best bet is to tell your mate to go to the National Railway Museum 'Search Engine', as I think they do have a copy there, or go to Warwick University, which I believe is home to the NUR archive. I've used the NRM for my BA and MA Dissertations, and I found it particularly useful as it had the complete series of 'Southern Railway Magazine', Railway Clearing House Annual Reports and BTC annual statistics. The latter might also be of use to your mate for facts and figures (official passenger numbers, finances etc.) until it was abolished in the 1962 Transport Act.
