I'll be at Nuneaton to see this on the run up probably, but have you noticed this...?

    http://uksteam.info/tours/t10/t0327a.htm

After the run 60019 is running to the NRM, and will pass 46115 AND 70013 on the Help for Heroes somewhere around Castleford, with Heroes at 17.11, and 60019 at 17.15! Three steam locos in 5 minutes, that can't be bad!

Will someone be in the right place at the right time to get the pass..... I certainly will be on the lookout on board.

I was originally booked on this but changed the booking due to the steam route now being via Crewe instead of Stoke and Macclesfield. This allows me to be at the West Somerset Gala for the whole weekend with a few saved £s in the process.

Yes, rather disappointing that the route has changed although RTC are still advertising it on their website as via Stoke and Macclesfield (18.20 15 March 2010), and you can book on this basis. I didn't book until they posted the actual times on their website, I assumed, wrongly as it turns out, that the route was as advertised. Not everybody has access to the internet, and they won't be aware of the route change, until the tickets arrive, then it is too late.

What makes turning right at Colwich so difficult to get a path on, it is the Stoke - Stockport section after Cross Country have joined the mix from Norton bridge ?.

Probably be somewhere on the Trent Valley for this, hopefully not as many will get bowled as per Lizzie the other week.

If that is so why was the train first advertised as going that way?

Not long now! Is Bittern's second tender at Southall, because I hear the moves to Alton have been cancelled, so I presume the tender is at Southall and is being attached there, as she only had one for the Dartmouth Express last weekend.

I'll be at Stockport waiting for 60019. Been nearly 2 years since I last saw 60019, at the NYMR's LNER Gala.

Its only forty four years and twenty one days since she last hauled a train through Stockport - and a very well polished A4 she was then too!

She was then displayed at Piccadilly until the Wednesday when a very annoyed Ferryhill shedmaster enquired why she hadn't arrived home. If any editor wants to print it - "I know - cos "I was there" "

Left Euston on time, going well at Primrose Hill. Messed my photo's up though so looking forward to seeing everyone else's.

My Dad is in Manchester and is going to go out and see both Bittern and the Help for Hero's special.

Any-one know what capacity the 2nd tender has? Presumably this will weigh about the same as a coach so load with the dead 47 is equal to about 15? If so I was impressed with the ease with which it climbed through Tring.

The capacity of the second tender is 9000 gallons, so thats 14,000 gallons in total.

Have uploaded my video of the event to youtube, here is the link... http://www.youtube.com/user/campainr
