Note that there's been a correction to the timings for The Royal Duchy posted on UKsteam.info. Par is not a stop - the train will run straight through. First stop is Plymouth.

Anyone from London travelling on the Royal Duchy tomorrow. If so how are you planning to meet the train, I am currently planning to get the 5:21 train and meet the train at Reading as it doesn't appear possible to get to Slough for the 5:30 start. The 5.21 arrives at Slough at 5:37 but must be on the fast line as it arrives at Reading 5:51 10 mins before the Duchy is due to leave. Any alternatives or even lifts from North London I am very interested in hearing.

I understand there are lots of Standard seats for those interested in pay on the day.

    Thanks Paul
