    West Coast Railway Company ran the first of their Salopian Express excursions on 27th March 2019 which ran from Barrow in Furness to Shrewsbury and was steam hauled onwards from Preston. The image below shows the train, headed by ex-LMS Stanier 8F 2-8-0 No. 48151, as it passed through Hartford station some 10 minutes late on its way south.

    ...and here's a shot of the return leg, also passing through Hartford, giving an unexpected treat to those waiting for their train home.
