Heard on Saturday that the Scot Commemorative will definitely run. Some concerns about the route as RTC didn't want to run the same itinerary as the CME on the 2nd. Anyone got anything definitive on this as we can't do CME as we're booked on the Devon Belle.

Have booked on this. Logic suggests that it will be a rerun of the CME up and back to Carlisle but starting from Crewe. Hopefully the Scot will be able to return to Crewe though.

Would it possibly be returning via the Cumbrian Coast rather than the WCML ?

Someone on Nat Pres had said that 46115 had been modified in the cab area so it will fit round the Cumbria Coast, if true, I wonder if the same treatment will have been given to 46100.

RTC have told me that they are still looking at the route but that it will definitely start at Crewe. Doesn't mean that it will return there though.

46115 has been round the coast at least once in the last few years, and one would hope that 6100 has been modified similarly, it would have been silly not to.

The RTC can look at the route until it is blue in the face but I fear that 46100 may not fit around the coast and we probably will have to go each way over Shap. Seems like a good day out to me even if we have to get to Crewe. Either way, it is 46100 not 46115 that is lovely but tired imo.

Hope it's both ways over Shap. Nothing very commemorative about using the Coast Route in either direction.

Has 6100 had the cab profile modified like 6115?

46100 has also been requested Victoria Exeter Par
and Penzance -Bristol on the GB
and as this is likely to be the last GB we have decided to offer Standard Class on the train for the first and only time

Thanks for those updates, the addition of standard class on the GB is very enticing.

Good. Has NR confirmed route gauging accordingly?

I think post 15 has already answered that.
