Speaking of which the run on 28 Feb is now steam Farington Jct--Shrewsbury and return, but not via Chester and Wrexham outbound.--pathing problems. Got my ticket today. Hope the heating works!

This is running under the Spirit of the Lakes banner, from Scarborough to Shrewsbury, and was originally down for steam haulage from Crewe to Shrewsbury and return, however I believe that a note with the tickets says steam on at Farington Junc.
Also the routing is now via Nantwich in both directions due to issues beyond Chester.

Do we have any explanation for this change ? The original path was on RTT for many weeks. Is it a gauging issue perhaps, and will the very similar run on 21 March also change I wonder ?

I wonder if they'll drop the diesel off at Crewe ? Last year's Salopian ran on it's own with 46115.

It will be T&T diesels from Scarborough so it's very likely that although the lead diesel will come off at Faringdon, not sure if the rear one will come off as well, but maybe at Crewe.
The one on the 21st March being from Barrow will be WCML to Crewe so if the restriction still applies then maybe steam on at Preston. Only my thoughts, if it does go via Chester then it would mean turning and changing ends at Crewe, so not likely.

Acton Bridge with Mr Kelly in charge.

Interesting to note that as she was 4 minutes early at Weaver Junc, she was allowed to run ahead of the 1 minute late Lime Street - Euston pendolino which should have been in front, as a result the latter was slowing through the station with the 8F only just out of sight towards Hartford. Someone might get a slapped wrist for that.

Has she got a bit lost or is the headboard just perhaps not strictly the right one? ;):D

Spirit Of The Lakes is the company name used by Dave Tyler so all his charters run under that name, I believe however that it is now another branch of WCR.

She may not be everyone's cup of tea but 48151 has put in some sterling service over the years for WCRC, she is having a proper second lease of life in preservation!
