The SVR hosted the Heritage Railway All-Party Parliamentary Committee on Friday 13th April. The event was attended by Theresa Villiers, Minister of State for Transport, and also members of the Heritage Railway Committee and the Heritage Railway Association. The opportunity was taken to familiarise the attendees with SVR projects and present our plans for growth, whilst highlighting issues that the All-Party Group could help us with. Ms Villiers took the opportunity to have a footplate ride on the locomotive and the group was given a guided tour of the workshops at Bridgnorth and The Engine House at Highley. Thank you to all those involved. You will be pleased to hear that everybody was suitably impressed.
