    The LNER Coach Association are approaching the final stages of restoration of the sole surviving Thompson TK 1623 at Pickering, with the interior being reconstructed. An order is about to be placed for new luggage rack castings for it. With 56 needed at around £50 each, the Association has launched a "Sponsor a Bracket" appeal. Details can be found on the LNERCA website, www.lnerca.org which also has the facility to make donations by Paypal.
