'Thorpe Park' coaches for sale

    From the L&B website:
    With the original L&B carriages now in daily service, the four Thorpe Park carriages that had previously handled all the passenger services from Woody Bay are now up for sale.

    Built by originally by Alan Keef all four have been thoroughly re-built by the L&B and are now fitted with slam-door locks, twin-pipe air brakes and fully compensated 600mm gauge bogies.

    SOLD! These coaches have now been sold to the Statfold Barn Railway in Tamworth, Staffs. Having served the L&B well since passenger services began ten years ago, I'm sure they will soon be back in service carrying passengers once again.
