Swindon and Westbury seemed liked the epicenter of three splendid steam tours on Saturday. Starting with a dull sky I filmed 6201 Princess Elizabeth on the "Red Drgaon" shortly after the Challow stop and the skirted around Swindon, where Lizzie was due another 20 minute pathing stop, to film her once again.

A pleasant drive down to Freshford, near Bath saw the Black five 44871 on the "Bath & Bristol" tour a bit of a wait for the return but worth waiting for as 44871 climbs Upton Scudamore. I'd like to thank the farmer there for his impeccable bad timing, those who were there (and there was a few) will know all about it.

I was hoping to also film the DEMU 1001 on it's way past Westbury but the Bath & Bristol was running some 15 minutes late and typically the DEMU was 5 minutes early, so no chance.

Down to a spot I'd scouted whilst waiting near Bruton for the "Great Western 175" with 6024 King Edward I as he climbs the bank to Witham Friary. The King was due a water stop at Frome, about 10 miles up the road, so again a leisurely drive saw me at Berkley Marsh in plenty of time to film again.
