With the gwsr back to black gala now only six weeks away I thought I'd give everyone a quick rundown on gwsr locos. 7820 dinmore manor is now in traffic with just minor fettling required and I think looking fantastic! 5542 is due back this week after it's short notice trip to shakerstone as a stand in for 1638. Gwr 4270's completion draws ever closer and we're now at the weighing and valve setting stage. It last ran in November 1962! 2807 has ongoing mechanical work being undertaken at tyseley loco works and we hope will be back in the next few weeks. 8f 8274 is in service and running well. 35006 has come on well recently with design work on the new tender brake rigging completed and a start made on making this. The backhead looks fantastic with all the pipe work now completed and the plan is that it will again be available for viewing at the gala. 4270 Photo courtesy Ray O'Hara from the gwsr loco dept blog http://www.gwsrsteamloco.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/back-to-black.html?m=1

The above will take you to the C&W blogsite where great progress on the GWSR rolling stock is made but also:
4270 spotted at Winchcombe undergoing a test run this week. Marvellous! Looking forward to seeing it at the Gala later this month.

Note: I think someone has beaten me to this on another thread. Apologies for duplication!
