Is this camera live, even now or does it reply the days footage after the last train.

The reason I'm asking is I have just watched somebody in orange overalls walk down the track, and there seemed to be quite abit of movement towards the far end of the platform, at half 8 at night!!! :-k

    Hello jay,

Yes, the webcam is Live. The building too the left is part of Minehead works and shed, where they are in the process of assembling 7800 Class 4-6-0 7828 ODNEY MANOR after a major overhaul.
I have just checked the camara and on shed you can see, well I'm pretty sure it is 2884 Class 2-8-0 3850 and behind her Class 7F 2-8-0 88(53808).
TORNADO is being stabled at Bishops Lydeard overnight while she is at West Somerset Railway.

    Best regards SteamHawk216.

Re: TORNADO on Live webcam. 010609.

    Hello saltydog,

Thank you for your response. Just one question for you "Have you been such a killjoy all of your sixtythree years on this planet?" :smt093
Please think about others who are interested whether things are on Live webcams or not, as not every one is able too, physically or financially to get to events and Galas etc. where ever they may be. A computer with internet, in the right hands is a superb contact tool with the world around us.

So I will finish with please try to think of others and enjoy this life, and take care. :smt006

    Best regards SteamHawk216.

If you didnt want to read posts about Tornado being visible on the WSR webcam then perhaps you should've thought twice before clicking 'TORNADO on Live webcam'.... ;)

Anyway, a large number of people are very interested in 60163 at the moment, and i dare say a lot of them are not aware of the very good webcam at Minehead, so this thread will have been very useful.

Well said Christopher125, good post, thank you.

Something I noticed TORNADO website http://www.a1steam.com/ did not have the West Somerset Railway webcam link on until four hours after I started this thread. Perhaps they didn't know of them! We all get informed and learn everday.

    Best regards SteamHawk216.

If you don't want to bother reading threads about Tornado or look at the WSR webcam then don't bother no one is asking you to read or look, but let everyone else enjoy it, not everyone is able to get to the railway for various reasons so the webcam is a great idea.

SteamHawk: Thanks for the link to the WSR live webcam. Reminds me of my hols a couple of years ago!

Just a point though, it is not necessary to post the info on two threads. One is quite enough.

Dont want to dampen your enthusiasm though!

    Regards

Yes it is live, jay. All three cams are live. Half 8 in the evening is not late for stuff to be happening on the WSR. Thanks for watching.

Was facing towards Minehead, and I suspect unlikely to be turned, he/she is probably too heavy for the Minehead 'table.

OMG, I'm so sorry if I've upset all you modern traction fans. But every time I log on I find a new thread regarding this loco and at my age I find it difficult to keep up with what is going on. I can understand your excitement about a brand new loco but please think about us old 'uns who have difficulty with modern technology, and try to keep all your excitement confined to one thread.
May I suggest a thread entitled 'Modern Steam Traction'.
Please read this in the spirit it is meant, or is the age of satire truly dead?

It's great using the webcams. I kept watching during Royal Scots visit for the Steam gala and watching again now for Tornado. I think more lines should include webcams at stations.

If I stopped using the internet altogether what else could I do for entertainment?
After all the only other fun I get in my old age is every second football season when Birmingham City come back to the Premier League and promptly get relegated again. \:D/
By the way I always claim to be 63 going on 18. :smt003
