I found this plate in my father-in-laws attic along with the loco plate - as previous post. Not sure if it belongs to railway? Can anyone identify it and is it a collectable item?

Sorry but it has nothing to do with railways. It is amost certainly the manufacturers plate from a hydraulic power pack, something that Towlers made a lot of. I've seen a fair few in my time.

    Looks good, though!

Thanks Guys I didnt think it was connected to the railways, it was wrapped up in newspaper with the locomotive plate. Finding these two items has opened up a whole new fascinating world to me - very interesting stuff - looking forward to browsing this site!
