    John, are there going to be trams there this year or are they still banned on this day due to 'Elf 'n' Safety'......

    According to the website;

    'There are also rides on a selection of Vintage Trams, these run from Ash Street out to Thornton Gate.'

    Thats a good 2 - 3 mile run and there is a FANTASTIC chippy at Thornton Gate too :)

    The shuttle Service will actually operate from North Pier to Ash Street.

    The website is actually wrong.

    This has been confirmed by the organiser, this shuttle has operated in this way for the last 2 years.

    It actaully proides a real journey so that people from Blackpool can get to the event in Fleetwood.

    Its a very good opportunity to ride on the 'trams of interest' and witht the re-buliding and subsequent scrapping of a lot of the trams is defintley an opportunity no to be missed!

    If the weather is great then this really is a good day out for everyone.

    Where else can you ride on 75 - 100 yeard old tram cars all day for the price of a one-day travelcard! (£5.95)

    Enjoy!

    I will!
