Trapeze is set to begin a three-year project to upgrade the train management and communication systems across Frankfurt’s metro and tram network.

As well as supplying a the management and communications systems for a new central control centre, the company will replace all existing on-board systems on the network’s 250 metro trains and 103 trams.

New onboard computers will help improve passenger information systems and provide more accurate data about the location of vehicles around the city.
