Anybody who takes video will know how rare it is to be able to video a train passing you, then, without a break, video another one going in the opposite direction. This stroke of luck happend to me on Dawlish staion some time ago.
Two 37s head an eastbound enterprise followed the other way by a 37 on the Fawley Tavistock Jnc tanks.

    Anybody else been lucky? \:D/

    Nice one Nick.
    Do Voyagers count?
If so http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQ2JxEsdfk0 at about 2 minutes

Then there's my "Royal Duchy" one where D1015 is running LE back to Newton Abbott and a HST comes around the corner.

Thanks Bill.Just a bit of luck isnt it really.
I probably have a couple of others in my collection of tapes, 34 x90mins so far on my digital camera and 38x90min from my first Hi8 camera.I hope to start putting a DVD together soon, plenty more 37s at Dawlish,56s 58s etc.
I dont think I have ever done a shot fom a train of another train ADB968008,I remember there was an actual staged run of 2 steamers between,I think,Gillingham and Yeovil Junc as both lines are signalled each way I think. That would be nice with 1015!

Hi Nick. I think you mean Templecombe to Yeovil. Gillingham Stn is for passing only.
The train in question was a steam charter from Salisbury to Yeovil Jct. on 23rd July,1988 and was hauled by spamcan 'City of Wells'. A class 33 and observation coach had been hired as a means of filming the steamer. The 33 ran parallel with the steam or just ahead of it, much to the annoyance of the linesiders. At one point City of Wells was really opened up resulting in the class 33 struggling to keep up. It was a fantastic trip with a top speed of 86 mph. My friend was on the train the next day and a top speed of 91 mph was recorded on that occasion !! Not bad for an old steam engine. <BJ>
