For our Autumn Open Day we have a bit of a surprise.

There is something in the top shed that has been green for nearly 20 years that is changing colour - no it isn't rust!

Quite large quantities of maroon paint seem to be finding their way up there......

Great news Ben. Its about time we saw another GWR Hall in Hogwarts Maroon. Is Rood Ashton Hall being renamed as a Castle as well?

We could rename 4965 as Albert Castle!

Is it really 20 years? It doesn't seem that long, somehow!!

Hmm, hasn't Kolhapur been green for quite some time now?

Mind you, Clun Castle might look rather fab in maroon :)

Maybe 5593 is going crimson for a spell alongside the streamlined "Duchess" at the NRM? Never been to TYS, so is storage space an issue?

Just trawling through the 190 or so "Jubilee" names for something appropriate for 2012, but nothing stands out, so maybe 5552 "Silver Jubilee", or 5660 "Rooke" in honour of its epic pre-war test runs.

    Just armchair guesswork....

I wonder how long before 5690 is back it would be great to get her down to Tyseley and pose her with 5593 at somepoint.
