Mentioned by Victor in LE thread but on the 30th ? so still a mystery as 45305 was on the final Scarborough Spa.

Yep, it followed 45305 about half an hour later, heading for Healy Mills. I was out of it's sight, but it was just a LE and coach by the sound of it.

Shhhhhhhh! I've told you before about mentioning the Strategic Reserve. I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it.

Anyway, I was told it was Mallard going to meet her class-mates off the ship. All very hush-hush, you understand.

Right! Stop that - it's silly! Mr Dimmer has asked a very sensible question. Unfortunately, he's also used up Yorkshire's supply of question marks, which means that my mum can't ask me anything.

What was the exact (or close enough to) route this LE would have taken? And definitely on 31st August?

This is all going to pieces now, originally i was asked by a fellow enthusiast whose grandson, another enthusiast what was the steam loco working through Huddersfield on the 31st August as he heard it pass his house which is near the railway at approx 13:00
so anyones guess by the looks of it

p.s. ran out of question marks
