VNTL Trial Runs

From what I have seen on the VNTL website aswell as in emails I have received from VNTL they are planning a number of locomotive trial runs for 2015. One has been partly announced on the website for Apr 11th and looking at it that trip is gonna be with 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe.

I Am hoping to go on one or two of these local short distance trips as one will hopefully be with 7029 (I Am aware that only small runs will be planned for 7029 to bed her in but I am hoping to get behind her on the loaded trial run). Another I have an eye on is the possibility of 6023 King Edward II on hopefully "The King of Seafood" but lets not forget Tyseley's 2 pannier tanks as they haven't yet got any work down this year.

 

I believe Ben said 3 or 4 trial runs for this calandar year.

 

That was my original thought but in the latest letter I got it said several were planned to run at certain points in the year, didn't say which engines or dates but it said that a few were planned to run at certain points in the year.

 

Well, I think that it was obvious that 5043 would be scheduled for this first one because it is a part of what tyseley does on an annual basis. I also hope for 4079.

 

Has 5043 had any work done over the winter ?, wasn't aware it was in need of a test run, you can make an educated guess at what's likely to be on various test runs in 2015.
