I'm not going on the tour but it was one of the reasons why I planned to visit Railfest this day (as well as seeing 70013 and 6201 after their arrivals during the week.) I was looking forward to seeing 4965 when it was orginally booked but with 5043 then its even better. I've yet to see any of the Tyseley fleet so will give me something else to tick off my list at Railfest.

Booked on this with my brother can't wait, having the Earl is a bonus, but I was looking forward to a solo Hall as she is a beaut. Early start and drive up to leamington to get the first train awaits.

Sorry about the change of loco, but track work that weekend meant that a 60mph (Hall speed) path was not available.....so 5043 is out again.

Lots of Hall action on the Shakespeares and later in the year.

Don't be sorry Ben. One of the things that is out of your control. It wouldn't of deterred me from booking. Like you say I can get a Hall fix again soon / when she's no doubt again stretching her legs a bit further.

If you can make them fit! Joking aside, sounds like a cracking idea. Will be intrigued when your brochure next lands at home / is announced on here.

Thanks for posting those. Will she be serviced outside the NRM like most tours are. I'll try and get onto York station and the NRM to see 5043 if I'll be able to go back into Railfest.

Standard one-way is £37.50 if you book tomorrow (Friday) via the office, or £40 on the day.

I would give the office a ring and make sure there is space.....I've been at Railfest all day myself, but I know Std Class was getting pretty full before I left.

Hope you can make it. Approx 6pm departure from York.

    (MSG sent at 11pm Thursday)
