Photos of the Welsh Highland Railway taken between Sunday 11th and Friday 16th August - we were staying in Beddgelert and I visited Porthmadog three times in total, finally getting the chance to ride on it from Beddgelert to Rhyd Ddu (see Snowdon thread) on the Friday. Although only travelling for thirty minutes each way it was a superb trip, and very entertaining on the return as the Garrett chased two sheep for a respectable distance! The staff were fantastic - on my way to Rhyd Ddu I tried to order a Welsh Highland Lamb burger, although there wasn't enough time to definitely get it ready in time the staff were very apologetic and offered to contact the other train heading from Caernarfon if I was catching that one at Rhyd Ddu for the return journey, although sadly I wasn't

Watching the Garrett go down Porthmadog high street is always entertaining
