    Hi,

Is this tour still going ahead, and if so, is Oliver Cromwell hauling it? Its supposed to be at Model Rail Live. Apparently been booked at Model Rail Live for months, but this tour has been redated to the same weekend, so I assume someone is going to be unhappy somewhere, but with 3 weeks to go no, either website (Model Rail Live or Railway Touring Company) doesn't say either way presently

    Cheers

    Jason

70013 is also advertised to work the 'Hadrian' from York to Carlisle and return on the 22nd September. One engine advertised to work 2 different railtours and visit an event at a heritage site on the same day, yet more evidence of the shocking state of the railtour industry.

UKSteam has the 'Hadrian' trip as "TBA", after the 'Welshman' trip was rescheduled from the 29th - but of more immediate concern is Ollie's health after this weekend's failure.

In its basic form, how hard can it be to just have a calendar in Outlook, or even a google calendar that railtour companies can access from the loco owners to say when trains are available. Steam trains are great to have on the modern network, but the management of them needs to come up to speed in the 21st century. I wonder how many operators are using Excel spreadsheets or even paper to manage their bookings for their tours - if any of them read the posts on this forum, contact me and I'll build you a better booking system - I'm sure we can come to some arrangement
