Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway

I'm in need of a little bit of help! I'm planning on visiting the line for their Steam Gala but am in need of photography locations as I have never visited the line before, can anybody help me please?

Hi,
How are you travelling? Car, cycle, foot, train, or hot air balloon? One two or three days?

Several decent photo points are at Raven Square, Golfa, Castle Caerenioin, Cyfronnydd and Llanfair C.
The main road follows the line for considerable distances, for example, at Castle C, there are shots from the main road across the valley to the railway. Golfa bank has locos working hard up the incline, whilst the outskirts of Llanfair C has shots with workng signals, as does Welshpool.

Try Google maps, go for satellite, and then street view the A road from Welshpool towards Llanfair C., just outside Raven Square. This gives a pretty good idea of the territory. and can be easily followed towards Llanfair C.

Better still, the railways webpage has some publicity shots which give locations....
