This is not an actual gala, but with the four steam trains each way timetabled service being supplemented by a Sprinter return trip from Taunton and a freight behind D7017 (alias D7047), this only needs some decent weather to make a grand day out.

Not to forget the Winter Steam Gala on 29 and 30 December with an intensive steam service.

Slightly off topic but does anyone know whether there's likely to be any information publicly available, showing which locos are working on which days or trains of the Winter Steam gala ?

    Thanks,

They usually say the rosters/loco directions/turntable turns about a week before, going off the last two years anyway.

Really glad FGW are supporting the WSR and running this special, just a shame that I'm working. Hopefully it'll pave the way for more in the future!

During SSG/MTW/ASG BL-TN shuttles would be nice!
