The station has a virtually inexhaustible supply of cream teas.

Although they replaced my beloved GWR steam locos, I must admit I did like the Hymeks.....and the Westerns.

Virtually inexhaustible? That sounds like a challenge.

D7017 performed really well today on the diesel turn. What a superb machine it is.

In the evening D6566 returned unwell D1010 'Western Campaigner' to Williton from BL. <BJ>

Morning, there was a light engine move for the manor today showing on the loco roster but has since disappeared. I was hoping to get a photo of it. Please could some advise if this is still happening. Thanks.

Is there a telegraphic code to use for this?

  8. I think I updated the online roster recently. Quite a lot of (necessary) changes. Sorry if you were confused. Hopefully with the imminent arrival of 7820 things will settle down a tad.

This is the real reason for the work on the old cattle dock to provide underground chilled storage facilities for all the ingredients.;)

WSR currently featuring on the "Antiques Roadshow" - a familiar face hanging around in the background.

I took my two youngest on the WSR today (Sunday 15th)

After ruining Robins morning we did a round trip on the DMU. It brought back memories of a mis-spent youth siting behind the driver in both directions - good to see him reaching for the brake as a cat ran across the line outside Watchet.

The boys built a dam on the beach while I enjoyed a Coffee and Flapjack from the Jubilee Cafe, followed by ice cream from Styles.

In short a great day out

Lower battling average this time - only 4 appearances....

Plenty of other WSR faces in the crowd. Who did you spot?

There is a photo currently on WSR.org of a single coach at Minehead, in carmine and cream. Is this newly repainted? Does this bring the number of blood and custard to 7?

    This one of mine.

Not a new paint. 4909 was stopped a couple of days ago for fitter’s attention but nicely posed for a photo from Minehead platform.

Thanks, Robin. For the last few months there have been 2 rakes running, one of 5 carmine and cream and one chocolate and cream and another of 6 chocolate and cream and one carmine and cream. Perhaps they can be reorganised when this coach returns into matching sets.

I did also take some snaps with my trusty I-phone. Here is Andy McConnell waxing lyrical about a piece of glass as only he can. You might recognise this from yesterday’s broadcast.
