No this is not a livery debate question.

We want to replace a Round W sign with a GREEN LNER Whistle Board Version as per the standards.
I'm trying to find out what colour LNER 'green No.3' is.
What is the nearest BS or RAL equivalent.

    Can anyone help ?

The Station Colours website give these as options:

    Buckingham green BS381C 227
    Light Buckingham green BS381C 225
    Sea Green BS381C 217

    With this caveat:
A quick poke around one of the auction sites produced a couple of seemingly unrestored examples:

The latter has a clear shot of the back which might be a good guide.
